The history of linen fabrics is very old.
In the mountainous regions of India, about 4 to 5 thousand years ago, the ancestors of the Indians were the first to grow blue flowers of herbaceous plants and sew linen clothes from them. The thermal conductivity of linen is 5 times higher than that of wool and even 18 times that of silk!

Linen bedding is very hygroscopic: it absorbs moisture and sweat well, but dries quickly, as well as allows the skin to "breathe" - promotes more intensive blood circulation and reduces fatigue.
-
Antibacterial properties: no fungi or bacteria grow on the flax material. At the same time flax destroys infections, microorganisms.
-
Linen bedding has anti-allergic properties, so linen fabric perfectly destroys harmful microflora, making it suitable for people with allergies.
-
Antistatic properties: linen fabric does not electrify.
-
Linen bedding protects from the ultraviolet rays of the sun.
-
Longevity. Linen has a high durability, excellent resistance to temperature changes and intensive washing. Over time, it becomes softer, whiter, softer, fits more to the body, and also becomes less wrinkled.

Linen bedding care
Washing
It is recommended to wash linen products for the first time in cool water at 30 ° C, separately from other laundry. After the first wash, 100% linen can shrink up to 7%.
Linen products should be turned upside down before washing.
Linen products can be washed by hand or in the washing machine. When washing the linen in the washing machine, it is advisable to choose the gentle washing mode.
If you wash the machine, do not overload it, as linen products absorb a lot of water - enough water to wash the bedding and leave no stains on the fabric.
It is advisable to wash linen fabrics with liquid and mild detergents. Chlorine-containing bleaches are not recommended as they can damage the fabric structure! If the water used for washing is calcified, we recommend adding fabric softener, especially for washing darker fabrics.
White and light bedding should be washed separately from colored and dark sets. This rule will help prevent color fading.
-
Natural unbleached and white linen fabric is easily machine washable up to 90 ° C.
-
Products made of single-colored dyed materials - machine washable in gentle conditions at temperatures up to 40 ° C.
-
Linen fabrics of light or dark color should be washed in mild conditions at a temperature not exceeding 30 ° C.
It is worth remembering that if linen fabric contains any other material, the properties of that material should be taken into account when washing.
Linen products must be rinsed thoroughly during both machine washing and hand washing.
Drying
Drying is possible in a drying machine, also in a natural way. To prevent creasing, do not spin the laundry before drying.
Washed and lightly wrung fabric should be hung properly to prevent further creasing during drying. As the flax dries extremely well, it is important not to allow it to dry out, otherwise it will be very difficult to iron.
Drying is recommended in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and batteries.
Ironing
Linen products are best ironed when they are still slightly damp, and will be easier to iron. It is recommended to iron from the reverse side of the fabric, thus protecting the linen surface from gloss and discoloration.
It is recommended to iron the linen with a hot iron and steam iron. Pure linen fabric is resistant to temperatures up to 200 ° C.
